WHY OUR BUSINESS IS NAMED SHELLBACK WOODWORKS

Kevin became a Shellback in 1991 by crossing the equator in the US Navy. "Shellback" is a title for experienced sailors who cross the equator, leaving behind their novice days as "pollywogs." This journey symbolizes enhanced skills and knowledge.

What we do

At Shellback Woodworks, we utilize a diverse selection of wood materials, ranging from exotic hardwoods to locally sourced lumber that we process on our own sawmill. We create custom engravings from photographs, transforming them into cherished memories or thoughtful gifts. Our product offerings include a wide array of items, such as cutting boards, stove top covers, bowls, trays, wall art, signs, door hangers, and much more. We welcome and encourage custom orders, tailoring our work to meet the unique needs and preferences of our clients.

Our extensive capabilities in laser design are made possible by our equipment inventory, which includes fiber, CO2, diode, and galvo lasers. With these advanced tools at our disposal, there are very few materials that we are unable to laser engrave or cut. In addition to our laser expertise, our complete wood shop features a CNC machine and a lathe. This comprehensive suite of woodworking equipment and services allows us to provide our clients with a diverse range of high-quality, custom-crafted products.
